Information

The first gig in ages with Vortech, at Club Lupi in Oulu. There were about 20 or 30 people listening to the show and we enjoyed playing. The audience also seemed to like the music, and that's always a good start! The setlist was mostly leaning towards the new album, naturally, but there were also selections from the previous two albums.

This time around we also had electronics with us and those were handled via a laptop running Reaper and sending 5 separate signals to FOH for the drums and electronics. And two extra signals provided the second guitar and bass through reamp boxes. It's quite a simple although rarely used technique and it works, so why not use it? :) The gear was Engl Powerball + Digitech DigiDelay for my parts, with my Schecter 007 Blackjack, into a borrowed Engl 2x12" cab, and the second guitar was Marshall JCM900 SL-X with Digitech Bad Monkey as a boost into a really cool home-made(?) guitar cab (thanks Catamenia!) with a nice metal plate grill. I can't remember what the bass amp was, but I think it was a Hartke of some sort.
